This site was created because I was once in thousands of dollars of credit debt and had zero savings, much like most Americans. I credit two things with my current debt free state: changes in spending habits, and an excel spreadsheet my wife, who has a degree in finance, created for me.

BudgetSimple, simpler! May. 19th, 2010
We took a look at how BudgetSimple can be improved, and removed a tab! Now, you will no longer set your budget goals under "Edit Budget", instead the column for "Budgeted Amount" is now editable on the "Budgeting" (formerly Transactions) tab. So you can do everything in one spot. Thanks to our beta testers for giving us good feedback about this change. Let us know if you are confused or have more ideas on how BudgetSimple can be improved!
Also some minor improvements were made to reports for Plus users, as well as a bug fix for IE.

-You can now delete a category immediately after creating it
-Previously, if your session had timed out, you could still enter expenses (that were not saved). You'll now get prompted to login again. -

BudgetSimple Plus now available! Dec. 10th, 2009
Plus version now available for power users.
We've been getting more and more great ideas from people on how we can improve BudgetSimple. However, there is always a trade off, as more functionality equals more complexity. The compromise we found was to create a "Plus" version that has more advanced features that allow users to better manage their budgets and examine their finances.
Don't worry though, the current basic version of BudgetSimple is not changing at all! We will continue to make the basic version better, while sticking more complex features in the Plus version. Having a Plus version also lets us continue to provide all users better service by helping offset the costs involved in running and developing BudgetSimple. If we've helped you with your debt and you want to support our mission to get everyone else out of debt, check out the Plus version today!

BudgetSimple is 100% free. There are not even any ads, and you do not need to give any information that will identify you personally. This product was designed to help people get out of debt and save more. If we can get just one person to accomplish this, then it is worth it.
- What do you do with my data?
Nothing! Your data is your data alone. We will never snoop through your finances or reveal them to any third parties.
